Noida to South Delhi no longer has to join the Ring Road at Sarai Kale Khan
The old trip was the DND, then the four-lane Ring Road, then the knot at Sarai Kale Khan. Luxury projects in Noida and South Delhi projects sat on either side of that knot. Barapullah Phase III is the elevated corridor that crosses the Yamuna without making every car join it.
Traffic from Noida, Ghaziabad, Mayur Vihar and Akshardham can use the Noida Link Road and Barapullah Phase III toward INA and South Delhi, instead of the DND and then Sarai Kale Khan. On the Delhi side that is Lodhi Greens and Kreeva Swaranaya. On the Noida side it is ATS KnightsBridge in Sector 124 and Trump Tower Noida in Sector 94.

An alternative, not a cleared Ring Road. Vehicles from the eastern side of the Yamuna — Noida, Ghaziabad, Mayur Vihar, Akshardham — heading to INA and South Delhi can take the corridor off the Noida Link Road instead of joining the Ring Road after the DND. The return works the same way. A car from INA toward Mayur Vihar, Noida or Ghaziabad can cross on Barapullah instead of dropping into Sarai Kale Khan and the DND.
Additional Commissioner of Police D. K. Gupta has put the limit on it. The point is not to end congestion on a road that already carries this volume. It is to take off the cars that do not need the Ring Road. The pressure that eases, if it eases, is the merge at Sarai Kale Khan, where the DND, the Ring Road and the other approaches meet. The six-lane DND was feeding a four-lane Ring Road. This corridor is the other door.

The same Sarai Kale Khan knot sat on that evening. Barapullah does not land at the NFC gate. It takes the Yamuna crossing off the Ring Road merge that made the drive feel longer than the map.
